All events that were scheduled to run at the CRE in March have been unfortunately cancelled. We will continue to support our valued clients through these challenging times and look forward to It Happening Here again soon. Check out our page reporting any and all updates regarding CRE events and operations.

As we continue to monitor the COVID19 outbreak, we will be posting updates on activity in the County of Camrose and area to this page in an attempt to keep the community as informed as possible. This includes any announced cancellations or closures.

Camrose Public Library

Status: Closed until further notice

As a precautionary measure, Camrose Public Library is closed until further notice. All late fees for items due from March 13th onward will be waived. For more information visit the Camrose Public Library site for more information.

Spring Break Out-of-School Day Camps

Status: Spring Break Out-of-School Day Camps have been cancelled.

Spring Break Out-of-School Day Camps have been cancelled. Although we are not aware of any COVID-19 cases in our community, we are following AHS guidelines to close all licensed out-of-school care programs indefinitely.

Camrose Campus Market

Status: Closed until further notice

Due to latest developments regarding COVID-19 and the restrictions, it has been decided that the best course of action is to close the market until further notice. Read the full update from Camrose Campus Market for more information.

The Bailey Theatre

Status: All ticketed events, including flea market, are postponed

In keeping with the Alberta Government’s Emergency Management Cabinet Committee recommendations, the Bailey Theatre Society will postpone all ticketed events at the Bailey Theatre until tentatively April 15, 2020. Donations for the Flea Market will continue to be accepted until noon, Thursday March 19th. Camrose & Area Animal Shelter

Status: Centre closed to public

Effective immediately, (and until further notice) the Camrose & Area Animal Shelter will not be opening to the public during regular times. For more information on the closure, donating, or adopting, read the full update from Camrose & Area Animal Shelter.

Martha’s Music

Status: Closed until further notice, all lessons postponed

Brown’s Social House Camrose

Status: As of March 19th will be closed until March 31st at which time opening will be re-evaluated.

Camrose Community Bus

Status: Running with restrictions

Camrose Arts Society

Status: Closed to the public, all classes cancelled until further notice.

Status: Closed to the public

Recreation Facility Closures

Status: All city recreation facilities are closed until further notice.

The closure of the recreation facilities impacts all public access. The only access to the main recreation building will be for City staff or organizational tenants working in the building. Read the full update from the City of Camrose.

Duggan Mall Update

Status: Open with restrictions.

In an effort to help ‘flatten the curve’, the following changes are in place at Duggan Mall:
– Duggan Cinemas is closed till further notice
– The Smith Clinic has closed the doors between the Mall and the clinic. Please use the Clinic’s front door to access their services. You will also need to use the front doors of Shoppers Drug Mart to access their location.
– Mall doors will close at 6 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until further notice.
– Both the Thursday & Saturday Farmers Markets are postponed till further notice.

All other stores are open but may have amended hours.

Canadian Professional Rodeo Association

Status: Office will remain open with limited staff on-site. Events in April have been postponed.

Status: Events are cancelled or postponed

Tabb Lanes & Lounge

Status: Closed until further notice

Status: Front counter closed to the public

Effective immediately the Camrose Police Service is closing the front counter public reception area due to increased COVID-19 risks. The Camrose Police Service is now offering Online Crime Reporting for non-emergency occurrences.

Town of Bashaw

Status: A number of public and private closures.

Effective March 26, 2020, the municipal operations office will be closed to the public – closed on Fridays

Recreation facilities and community buildings are closed until further notice.

Council Meetings – once per month and will adapt to ensure social distancing or support electronic methods of meeting.  Date changed to first Thursday.

All playgrounds within the Town of Bashaw are now closed.

Battle River School Division

Status: All classes have been cancelled.

The Lougheed Fieldhouse

Status: Closed until further notice.

Town of Hardisty

Status: Closure of some public facilities.

Village of Alliance

Status: Town office closed.

The Office will be closed effective Wednesday, March 18th 2020 until further notice.

Status: A number of public/ private closures and restrictions

Beaver County

Status: The Beaver County Services Centre and Transportation Shop are closed until further notice.

Flagstaff County

Status: County office and shop closed to in-person public access.

Flagstaff County is making every effort to limit the spread of COVID-19. Effective immediately, the Flagstaff County office and shop will be closed to in-person public access. Read the full update from Flagstaff County.

The Town of Sedgewick

Status: Closure of some public facilities. Town office open.

The Town of Sedgewick has closed the Wild Rose Recreation Centre, Public Library and Community Hall. Planned events in those facilities in the immediate future have been cancelled until further notice. The Town office remains open. Read the statement from the Town of Sedgewick.

Daysland

Status: Town Office is closed.

The town office is now closed. the Palace Theatre is also closed, and visiting is not permitted at Providence Place. Read the full release from the town of Daysland.

Village of Heisler

Status: The Community Hall and The Heisler Community Drop-In Centre – Closed

Town of Killam

Status: A number of public/ private closures. Town office remains open.

The Town of Killam operations remain business as usual at this time, however they are asking residents to consider not coming into the office to do your business, unless it is absolutely necessary.
