“The Power of Ag” to Lead Regional Community, Culture, and Commerce
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CAMROSE, AB – January 14, 2026 –
The Camrose Regional Exhibition (CRE) is proud to announce an important refocusing of its mission and the unveiling of a new visual identity / logo.
Moving beyond its role as a general-purpose venue, the CRE is returning to its roots as a stable, future-facing Agricultural Society. This strategic evolution, centered on the theme “The Power of Ag,” reinforces the CRE’s identity as a central hub where Alberta’s agriculture community converges to shape a more resilient future.
Rooted in 120 years of stability, the CRE is embracing a mindset of forward motion. As community engagement patterns shift across the region, the CRE is taking proactive steps to ensure the community spirit of rural Alberta remains vibrant and connected for generations to come.
A Vision Grounded in Tradition and Innovation
The CRE’s renewed direction is defined by being a steady, reliable partner that honours its deep history while providing a clear, technical vision for modern agriculture. This refocusing organizes the organization’s work into three core pillars:
Community: Strengthening the foundation of the region by honouring a 120-year legacy of bringing people together through service and volunteerism.
Culture: Bridging the gap between rural heritage and modern life, stewarding the future generation of agriculture experts.
Commerce: Serving as an economic engine driving Camrose and the surrounding area, The CRE generates more than $42 million in annual regional economic impact.
Leading with Clarity and Purpose
“The Power of Ag” represents a commitment to being more than just a place for events; it is a platform for regional prosperity. By utilizing modern technology and innovation, the CRE aims to ensure that every resident sees themselves as a stakeholder in the collective success of rural Alberta.
“We provide the stable foundation and forward-looking vision to ensure our region remains a powerhouse of opportunity,” says Dianne Kohler, Executive Director of the CRE. “When we succeed, the Camrose community is empowered.”
The refocusing also includes a streamlined digital experience designed to help community members easily find pathways to volunteer, join as members, or partner with the organization to drive local impact. Explore the newly updated cre.ab.ca today.
