The CRE is a volunteer-based organization that is wholly dependent on the availability of large numbers of dedicated, skilled volunteers. The CRE annually accesses the services of approximately 2,000 volunteers. These volunteers are involved at all levels within the organization.
Our Board of Directors, as well as our major event committees are made up of members of the community who contribute their time and expertise. Other volunteers dedicate their services in areas such as hospitality provision, operational assistance, event production and gaming.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Position: BINGO ROAMER
Must be good with cash and physically able to walk/stand for longer periods of time
The Bingo Roamer with CRE serves a dual purpose. They sell Bingo Bonanza tickets to players seated around the room. Bonanza tickets are $2/each and Romer’s will be given a set amount of tickets and float. When a BINGO is called in the room, the BINGO roamer is responsible for checking the card to ensure the BINGO is valid. They will be given a radio to communicate with the Bingo Caller who will ask the Roamer to call out the numbers of the player’s card to ensure it is a valid bingo.
Time Commitment – Training at 5:30pm to 6pm/Working from 6pm to 9:15pm
Volunteer Position: EVENT SUPPORT
Have a favorite event at CRE that you would like to volunteer your time at to make it a success? Event Support must be physically able to lift 30 pounds and able to sustain long periods of time on their feet. Event Support do everything from setting up tables and chairs, to hanging drape to cleaning during the event. Whatever is needed to ensure guests to the events have a great experience. Various Shifts available depending on client bookings – mostly weekends.
