Training Tomorrow’s Leaders Program – 2022
A Practical Skills Program designed for life.
The CRE proudly continues Training Tomorrow’s Leaders.
This practical, skill building program is aimed at students in grade 9-12 (Ages 14-18). What does leadership mean to you? Would you like how to learn to buy and sell a vehicle, how to keep a budget, tips for a successful interview? The CRE has created a program which teaches these things and offers even more practical tips that will help you throughout your life.
Training Tomorrow’s Leaders – is a program the CRE created to help prepare youth in our community for future careers and provide you with the practical skills that will serve you well long after graduation. The program will focus on skills not covered in school, or in after school programs and is open to students from Grades 9- 12 in the Battle River School Division and Elk Island Catholic School and Home School students.
This program is offered to 16 students a year where each student will receive:
- Camrose Regional Exhibition Youth Membership
- Free event pass to CRE Signature Events
- Letter of Recommendation to Post Secondary
- Chance to receive one of CRE’s Youth Scholarships of $1000, $750, or $500 – 3 scholarships given out each year.
Sessions will take place on the dates below between 5:30-7:30pm at the CRE.
The Training Tomorrow’s Leaders Program will be available for the 2022/2023 School Calendar Year

–October 5 – Load Securement, How to Back Up a Trailer
-October 26 – Camrose Haunted House – Working with Community Groups
–November 16 – Meeting your local Municipal Government Officials, Importance of Local Governance
–December 7 – Budgeting 101
Holiday Break
–January 4 – Importance of Community Involvement
-January 25 – Public Speaking Skills
-February 15 – CRE Ag Days –Youth in Agriculture
–March 8 – Resume Writing
–March 29 – Mock Interview
–April 19 – Buying and Selling a Vehicle*
Applications for the Training Tomorrow’s Leaders Program are due September 2, 2022. Those accepted in to the program will be notified.
