Camrose Regional Exhibition (CRE) COVID-19 March 16 Update

Camrose, AB – CRE wanted to provide an update to all our guests and clients regarding CONVID-19 actions and operational plans.

The CRE had all bookings that were to be held during the remainder of March and April cancel their events in 24 hours. We completely understand the decisions that were made by our clients and support them in any way we can. Many discussions are happening on postponement and alternate dates.

As a result, unfortunately hard decisions were required to respond to our current “new normal” for the next 8 weeks and the loss of revenue. We will be putting the CRE buildings and grounds on closure until March 31st, 2020. Only CRE staff will be allowed in the buildings during this closure. We will be keeping a skeleton operational crew to begin the work of cleaning and sanitizing every building, each chair, each table, each fork, each glass and throughout the grounds. If we are mandated extra disinfection instructions, we will complete them. We are planning to do it right the first time and our regular high cleaning standards will be increased. When we can host events again, we will be ready!

Unfortunately, this also affects our staff. All employees affected by this temporary closure are being provided options to support them as much as we can at this time.

CRE will continue to monitor the situation, consult and communicate with local and national health officials and take other steps, as required. For guests interested in more information, please visit the Alberta Health Services website.
