Plans are in the works for Alberta’s newest Fall Festival – Oktoberstock – a Bavarian Exposition
We are pleased to announce that we are working on plans for an exciting new fall festival called Oktoberstock.
A twist on the traditional German Oktoberfest, our festival will feature a full day of activities and promote the diversity of the community of Camrose and our region.
Oktoberstock will be highlighted by local musicians, folk and original performers, and will feature traditional Oktoberfest food in a format that will be affordable for the entire family. Get your lederhosen ready and get ready to party at Oktoberstock!

CRE Acreage and Garden Show
Where Green Acres meet Green Thumbs!
Get ready for one of Alberta’s newest and best Acreage and Garden shows, right here in the heart of Acreage country. The CRE Acreage and Garden Show will be held April 30th to May 2nd, 2021 and will feature guest speakers and exhibitors from across western Canada. The show is dedicated to enhancing life in rural areas including small farms, acreages, lake lots and homes with wide open spaces. It’s also focused on the love of gardening and all of the benefits that growing a garden brings. The CRE Acreage and Garden Show promises to be a unique event that attracts all ages – focusing on the acreage lifestyle, with unique ideas for gardening fanatics – all with a bit of home show feel.

CRE Leadership Program
Practical Skills for the Leaders of Tomorrow
How good are you at backing up a trailer, making mac and cheese from scratch or even balancing your bank account? The CRE has created a program which teaches these things and offers even more practical tips that will help you throughout your life. Training Tomorrow’s Leaders – is a program the CRE created to help prepare youth in our community for future careers and provide you with the practical skills that will serve you well long after graduation. The program will focus on skills not covered in school, or in after school programs and is open to students from Grades 9- 11 in the Battle River School Division and Elk Island School Division.
The CRE Leadership program will be offered to 16 students a year where each student will receive:
- Camrose Regional Exhibition Membership
- Free event pass to CRE Signature Events
- Recognized on CRE website and Social Media
Letter of Recommendation to Post Secondary - $500 Completion Bonus

Rural Opportunities Series
At the CRE, we’re proud of where we live and work, and we take great pride in helping our community and region grow and prosper. We’ve created a new program called the Rural Opportunities Series which is aimed at helping build our community and growing rural businesses in our region and beyond. This unique program will bring together stakeholders that are interested in developing business opportunities out of the two main cities of Calgary and Edmonton and help grow rural economies and businesses. The Rural Opportunities Series, formally known as Growing Rural Tourism, will honor its tourism heritage while expanding into new areas of business including: Direct Farm Marketing, county business development and regional Economic Development.
The Rural Opportunities Series will focus specifically on:
- Rural Development
- Small Communities
- Farms/Acreages
- Tourism/Agri-tourism
- Small Businesses
- Ag. Societies
- Economic well being in rural areas
